I recently added some adorable chicks and two fluffy ducklings to my little flock! Each chick has its own unique color and personality—some are golden, some black with tiny white patches, and others have the sweetest chipmunk stripes. Right in the middle of the group, the two ducklings stand out with their soft yellow down and gentle expressions. It’s been such a joy watching them explore their brooder, cuddling up together in the shavings and peeping contentedly. They’re already bringing so much life and laughter to my home!
Chick Supplies for New Flock
- Manna Pro Fresh Flakes - There are various materials you can use for bedding. I like using the flakes in the egg boxes.
- Chick Feeder and Waterer Kit - It is important to keep feed off the ground and obviously you'll need something to provide water for your babies.
- Chick Perch Chicken Coop Toy - This small perch may be something you'd like to purchase for your chicks. Or you can make or purchase larger ones which will suit the needs of your flock regardless of the age of your chickens.
- Pampered Chicken Mama Floral Nesting Herbs for Chickens - Delicious, nutritious treats for your flock.
- Chicken Coop with Removable Trays - This is a good option if you're just starting out and need something small to keep your flock safe. You may want to consider purchasing a bigger one if you already know you'll need it.
- TOETOL Metal Chicken Coop Large Chicken Pen - If you don't want your chickens to free range, you'll need something like this (smaller or larger depending on your space and flock needs).
